Schneider Electric as a partner in an R&D collaborative project
IDE4L (2013 − 2016)
The 3-year IDE4L (Ideal Grid for All) demonstration project focused on distributed-energy integration into networks to reduce CO2 emissions, cut network losses, and save energy.
Based on the concepts of active distribution network, automation architecture, and active network management, the solutions provided:
- Improved network control and monitoring.
- Efficient utilization of existing networks.
- Improved visibility of distributed resources for operators and aggregators.
- The project also researched smart solutions for designing and operating distribution networks with large-scale integration of distributed resources in order to ensure the continuity and quality of electricity supply.
