What causes the Precharge Capacitor Fault on Altivar Process drives?

Product line:
Altivar Process, ATV600, ATV900

Environment:
all

Cause:
Unstable mains voltage
DC link capacitors lifetime exceeded

Resolution:

After switching on the DC Bus is charged by the rectifier brigde, if the DC bus is not stabilized within 5s (for 400ms +/- 5V at 400-480V OR +/- 8V at 690V) the fault CrF occours.
The detection of the CrF fault is activated when VBUS voltage > USFH.

Power cycle the drive, make sure the display goes completely dead before turning back on
Measure the Mains Voltage coming into the drive and compare with the voltages shown in the Display menu
Check the internal wiring from the mains input up to the rectifier / AFE brick
Check the grounding
