How can I troubleshoot OPC communications for the PME OPC Server to my OPC client?

The OPC tags I am expecting from PME are not coming in to my OPC client

*Warning: If you have custom OPC tags added to the DefaultMeasurements.xml file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\system\IONServices then take a backup prior to going through this resolution, as it may be overwritten. Ensure the backups are in a location that will not be overwritten (i.e. the Desktop).

1. Make sure ION OPC Data Access Server is running in the Windows Services.

2. Update the OPC Server from Management Console (Tools->System->Update OPC Server).

3. Make sure OPC is working from the PME side by using OPCTestClient (by default this is found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\system\bin).
If you can get the test client working, then the server is producing the OPC data. The only problem at this point is receiving it on the client end and it is likely due to an IT restriction issue. The following steps should be followed to make sure the client computer can access the OPC tags.

3. Make sure Windows credentials being used on the OPC client are compatible with the OPC server. (ie. the same Windows credentials work on both computers).

4. Open TCP port 135 on both the client and server computers.

At this point a third-party OPC client can connect to the ION Enterprise OPC server using a valid connection address, which consists of the network node or host machine name where the OPC server is running and the OPC program ID (ION.OpcDaServer). For example: OPCDA://WORKSTATION3/ION.OPCDASERVER
