How to determine if a server is a Virtual Machine

How to determined if the Windows machine being worked on is a virtual machine or physical server.

Cause
While troubleshooting an issue, it may be necessary to know if the server is a virtual machine or physical server in order to help diagnose an issue.

Resolution
Information returned by the Systeminfo command will help determining the type of server. 
Issue the command as follows:

1) Open a command prompt window
2) Type: Systeminfo | findstr /i model

A virtual machine will return a response similar to: 
System Model:   VMware Virtual Platform
 [01]: Intel64 Family 6 Model 26 Stepping 5 GenuineInt
 
A physical machine will return a response similar to:
System Model:   20EQS0RB1A
 [01]: Intel64 Family 6 Model 94 Stepping 3 GenuineIntel ~2673 Mhz
