Issue
BMENOC03x1  "IP address A" and "IP address B"

Product Line
M580 BMENOC03x1

Environment
Unity Pro

Cause
N/A

Resolution
When the BMENOC03x1 module is configured in Hot-standby H58 CPU rack, the IP address on ETH2 and ETH3 is assigned an additional IP address of "IP address A" and "IP address B". This is because in a Hot Standby system the use of the Main IP address setting is used on the NOC in the primary CPU. And the Main IP address + 1 is set automatically on the NOC in the standby CPU.
On Hot Standby switchover, the Main IP address setting is automatically transferred from the former primary CPU to the former standby CPU (now the new primary CPU). Similarly, on switchover, the Main IP address + 1 setting is automatically transferred from the former standby CPU to the new standby CPU.
However, regarding the BMENOC03x1: A switchover does not affect the assignment of IP address A or IP address B. These IP address assignments are made exclusively by means of the rotary switch on the back of the CPU and are not affected by a change in primary or standby Hot Standby status.
This gives remote device an IP address that does not change when a HotStandby switch over occurs.
