What is the activation of current overload (OIL) on the ATS48?
Issue:
What is the activation of current overload (OIL) on the ATS48?
Product Line:
ATS48
Environment:
All serial numbers for ATS48
Cause:
N/A
Resolution:
In the PrO menu, the (OIL) function is a current overload setting used to fault or turn on an alarm in the softstarter when the unit has reached a current overload threshold (LOC).
(LOC) Current overload threshold and (tOL) Current overload time are set by the user.
(LOC) is adjustable from 50% to 300% of nominal rated current (In).
(tOL) is adjustable from 0.1 to 60 s
The softstarter monitors the current until it reaches the current threshold (LOC) for current overload time (tOL).
The softstarter action is based on the setting for (OIL):
ALA will activate an alarm by internal bit or relay output, r3=AIL.
dEF will fault the softstarter and display code OLC.
