Issue:
What can cause an EEF2 fault on the ATV61 and ATV71 drives?

Product Line:
Altivar ATV61 and ATV71

Environment:
All

Cause:
Drive is powering up with an EEF2 fault.

Resolution:
EEF2 is an Power Eeprom fault.  This normally means there is a problem with the main control board and the drive is getting a internal memory fault.

Check the environment (electromagnetic compatibility),  Try turning the drive on and off (power cycle) to see if the fault clears..  If the problem does not clear you might  have to replace the main control board or get the drive repaired.
