Error Demand Lockout when attempting to reset peak demand from the front panel
Issue:
When attempting to reset the peak demand from the front panel, the customer may see "Error Demand Lockout" on the display (as shown below).
Product Line:
ION8650/7600/7500/7550/7650
Cause:
The "Demand Lockout Time" register within the meter's Display Options Module sets the minimum time allowed between consecutive demand resets; the meter ignores any attempts to reset the demand outside the bounds of the register. The default value for the Demand Lockout time is 25 days.
Resolution:
The customer can open the Setup Assistant for the meter in ION Setup. Then, click on Demand--> Rolling Block tab and configure the Demand Lockout. By default the "Demand Lockout" is set to 25 days. If the customer would like to reset the demand from front panel more often they should decrease the number of days.
An alternate way to reset the peak demand is to connect to the meter using ION Setup and navigate to the data screen view. View --> Data Screens --> Demand.
