How to turn off User Access Control (UAC) in Windows Server 2008

It may be necessary to disable User Access Control in Windows Server 2008 before being able to install PowerLogic software.

Turning off user access control (Windows 2008)

To turn off user access control:

  • 1. Click Start > Administrative Tools > System Configuration
    2. On the Tools page, scroll down and select Disable UAC/Disable User Access Control (requires reboot).
    3. Click Launch, and then close the command prompt window.
    4. Click OK, and then reboot the server.
