Ask a Question

The analog output value for frequency on a ION meter stays at the last known value when there is no voltage present

Goals and Symptoms

The user has a ION meter's analog output configured based upon Frequency. When there is no source voltage on the meter, the analog output value stays in the last known state instead of going to 0.

Facts and Changes

Any ION meter with an available analog output and an available arithmetic module.

Causes and Fixes

When there is no voltage at the metered terminals, the frequency is n/a. Because of this, the analog output registered the last known good value.

Follow the attached procedure to add logic to the output so that it displays 0 when there is no voltage present.
