ReportAdd.exe - Application Error in Advanced Reports aftering clicking 'Finish'

The following error is displayed after clicking 'Finish' when creating a Advanced Reports (AR) report:

Causes and Fixes


There is a compatibility issues between .NET Framework 1.1 and 2.0. Advanced Reports requires .NET 1.1 to publish reports.
When .Net framework 2.0 is being used in the AR configuration, the AR wizard is unable to publish report, it will cause the wizard to lockup with this error.


1)Place the attached reportadd.exe.config file in the C:\Program files\Crystal Decisions\Enterprise 10\win32_x86\plugins\desktop\CrystalEnterprise.Report directory.
2) Right click on the file, select Properties
3) Select the Security tab
4) Add the Everyone group to the list of accessible Windows Groups or users names

This config file tells AR to use .NET 1.1 when publishing a report.
