Assigning an IP address to a brand new Twido TWDLCAE40DRF processor using the Concept Ethernet configurator tool and TwidoSuite.



On Power up of the new un-configured controller the L ST LED will be flashing 5 times.

  • 1) Set the IP address of your PC to the same IP scheme as the address that is being assigned to the new controller.
    (ex. 192.168.30.xxx, 255.255.255.000)
    2) Must be logged on as administrator and disable antivirus software, firewalls, wireless connection.
    3) Connect directly between your PCs NIC card and the new controller with a crossover cable.


Launch the Concept Ethernet configurator tool.


Select the Add button.


Enter the last octet of the new IP address as the Node followed by the new controllers MAC address and then press the OK button.


Verify that all the info entered is correct.


Press the BootP server button to turn on the tool and within about 15 seconds the status will change to assigned and the L ST LED on the controller will go on solid.


The L ST LED on the controller will go on solid.



Press the BootP server one more time to turn off the tool.


Open a DOS command prompt and make sure that you can ping the new assigned IP address.


Launch TwidoSuite.

Select the Programming Mode button.



Select the correct operation.


Open the project that you want to configure, change and or download into the new controller.


Select the Program tab followed by the Debug tab then press the Manage connection button at the bottom.
Now press the Add button and enter the new IP address info followed by the Apply button.



In order to complete your IP information configuration for your project you must do the following:
  • 1) Select the Describe tab
    2) Right click on the RJ45 port and select Configuration


Enter information as shown in the example above and press the OK button.


Save current project changes.


Select the OK button.

Select Transfer PC controller.
Select the OK button.

Press OK to stop controller if needed.

Press OK to overwrite previous application if needed.
