Goal Transform the Malaysian Prime Minister’s headquarters and other government buildings with high performance green building technology and design. Story The mission of the project was to achieve greater energy efficiency and increase the building’s overall asset performance to meet Green Building Index (GBI) requirements, while inspiring other projects to do the same. Solution Supported by Schneider Electric’s Building Management System (BMS), KFM was able to: • Improve overall building performance • Automate delivery of valuable building information through enhanced monitoring • Ensure services and repairs were focused on the right issues and results • Increase operational efficiency, comfort, and financial performance throughout the building’s life cycle Results • Working with Schneider Electric, KFM streamlined their energy savings process • Cemented their position as the largest retrofitting project for government buildings in Asia • Projected savings up to RM2 million energy savings per annum • Launched a sustainable and green BMS for the PMO building through integrated capabilities, operational expertise and the right technology, process and systems
