Issue:
Missing native shutdown battery options in Windows

Product Line:
Back-UPS and Smart-UPS

Environment:
7, 8, 10, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022

Cause:
When viewing Power Options (go to Control Panel - Power Options) you may find that the configurable battery shutdown options are missing / not available. This may be caused by the HID driver (Human Interface Device) being updated from HID UPS to APC UPS or APC Battery BackUPS.

Solution:
If you are no longer using PowerChute software and want to utilize native battery options, you may need to roll / revert the HID Driver to HID UPS.
