Main Characteristics
With the Cassia Energy Management System from Schneider Electric, energy savings can be easily attained without sacrificing your guest experience. Your guests will be more comfortable, your staff more efficient and your hotel more profitable.
How is this accomplished?
The Cassia Energy Management System tackles the largest culprits of energy waste in hospitality - heating, cooling and lighting - through the innovative use of room automation. This dramatically reduces the amount of energy wasted to heat or cool an unoccupied room. The Cassia web-based central control software provides hotel staff with meaningful information regarding each rooms energy performance.
Increase your energy savings
The Cassia Energy Management System automatically triggers adjustments in temperature and lighting when guests check in and out, or simply step in or out of the room. This not only creates a customized guest experience - based on conservative estimates, 25 - 44% in energy savings per room can be achieved in virtually any hotel, dorm or multi-unit dwelling.
Fast. Effective. Scalable.
Enjoy a fast and noninvasive way to reduce your energy usage, without suffering the consequences of long shutdown periods for installation. The installation of the Cassia system can begin during any stage of the building's lifecycle. Designed for retrofit, this technology does not restrict a building's daily operation or require the shut down of individual floors or occupied rooms for installation. Whether you start room-by-room or floor-by-floor, the Cassia Energy Management System provides scalable solutions, all while saving you energy.
Heating and cooling
The system uses the concept of "Target" temperature settings to manage activation of heating and cooling systems in guest rooms. These settings allow the room temperature to fluctuate up or down a pre-determined temperature range. Customer selected Variances, Setbacks and Deep Setback settings determine the desired temperature range. The purpose of these variable fluctuations is to ensure that the target temperature is maintained for guest comfort, while reducing unnecessary "vacant energy expense" while guests are out of the room. When a guest re-enters, temperatures return to the guest's preferred settings and offers manual adjustments.
Lighting
When the Cassia system determines a room is unoccupied; it sends a signal to each light switch and turns off any light that is left on. Similar to the heating and cooling settings, the time delay can be programmed to preference. As soon as the door opens again, guests can be greeted by warm courtesy lighting. Settings can also be programmed to not activate courtesy lighting during daylight hours when natural light is sufficient, thus maximizing your energy savings potential.
Differentiation Factors
With the Cassia In-Room Management System by Schneider Electric, the hospitality industry can now save energy easily with an intuitive in-room energy management solution that maximizes operating efficiencies while enhancing guest experience. Installation can begin during any stage of the building's lifecycle, since all components of the Cassia system deploy Zigbee wireless technology. This simple retrofit technology does not restrict a building's daily operation or require a shut down of individual floors or occupied rooms, so owners can enjoy no loss of revenue during installation in addition to a rapid return-on investment.
Hotel owners are also able to take comfort in the proven expertise and strong track record of Schneider Electric, with global presence in more than 100 countries and hotel energy management installations across the globe.
