Customer testimonies(Verbatim)
''The advantage of Schneider Electric is the ability to supply a global solution for all our requirements. We are talking about medium-voltage, low-voltage, and a centralised management for the entire building.''
-- Innocenci Novell, Maintenance Director of Hesperia Tower
Implementation Methodology
Schneider Electric was first considered to implement the electrical distribution in the hotel. Thanks to a strong collaboration with the hotel operator, Schneider Electric was able to understand the specific needs of this project and to build, with its partners, an added value proposal which included a much larger offer scope.
Duration
Foundation work for Hesperia Tower began in the summer of 2003 the hotel opened in 2006. Services to the hotel and upgrades have been implemented in 2008 and 2009.
How did we estimate the energy savings
Hesperia Tower is a bioclimatic buiding which includes the following advanced technologies:
-renewable energy
-hydro & aero thermic installation
-photovoltaic
-use of environmental-friendly material from production to recycling
The solution provided by Scheider Electric followed the new regulation defined in the Codigo Tecnico de Edificacion' (CTE). Savings are estimated to be up to 30%. Key savings in this project have been achieved through the following implementation efforts:
- improved power quality
- speed drives and motor starters to manage the motors
- accurate management of the HVAC systems, such as the boilers and air handling units
- advanced building automation
- Simple solutions like light and movement detectors
'Hesperia Tower has an energy efficiency and environment policy. That's why we've invested in the management of items such as twilight switches, which we want to install in the building to control when all the lights come on...having the Schneider Electric controllers allows us to manage the building from a centralised position, which makes it possible to maintain suitable energy efficiency ratios.''
-- Innocenci Novell, Maintenance Director of Hesperia Tower
