October / November 2006 : Schneider Electric in Eybens – Grenoble: Official inauguration of Electropole, the new world Research & Development center

On Thursday October 12, 2006, Schneider Electric’s new world R & D center – Electropole – was officially inaugurated in the presence of Mrs. Christine Lagarde, Minister of State for Foreign Trade and numerous personalities, including the Group’s partners and customers. Dedicated to the design and development of Power products (circuit-breakers, switches, contactors, fuses, etc.), Electropole is the keystone of the Group’s innovation policy, which is one of the principal engines for Schneider Electric’s offensive growth strategy. Set on an 8-hectare site, the 33,500-square-meter building houses 1,100 highly qualified employees in 10,000 square meters of development workshops and test platforms. An intelligent building in every sense and a showcase for Schneider Electric’s offering, the site presents a global offer for Building Technical Management.
