2/3 of our products’ revenues achieved with Green Premium products

Planet & Society Barometer [2009-2011]

Schneider Electric defines a Green Premium product by the following four criteria:

  • An environmental declaration (or Product Environmental Profile);
  • An end-of-life instruction guide;
  • A list of the substances of concern specified in the European REACH Directive;
  • The product does not contain levels of lead, chromium, cadmium, mercury, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) above the thresholds specified by the European RoHS directive.
Schneider Electric’s objectives:

  • be transparent with respect to the environmental impacts of the products it sells to its customers;
  • optimise product end-of-life recycling;
  • restrict the use of substances of concern.

This progress plan is a continuation of the previous 2005-2008 plan which aimed to publish 120 product environmental profiles.
