Quality Manager, field work

Anticipate needs, find solutions, guarantee the Group's Quality policy... The quality manager's mission is to obtain and consolidate the customer's satisfaction over the long-term; this mission is at the centre of Schneider Electric's strategy.

A different level of intervention for each context

The quality manager's missions are organised around three major poles according to the task which he has been given:

Defining a Quality policy through surveys, conducted for example in collaboration with internal auditors trained in quality management. This task is completed by writing the company's quality manual

Putting in place an operational organisation to make staff members aware of new Quality requirements and ensuring that they are enforced.

Anticipating customers'needs to provide a response that is constantly better adapted in terms of reactivity, service, deadlines, etc.

Mobilising energy for quality

• It is part of the quality manager's job to inform employees about actions carried out. The objective: to bring all players to integrate quality requirements as part of their everyday behaviour.

• Problems encountered, solutions found and applied... The quality manager reports to managers and his superiors on the results of these measures. He also writes and publishes documents, such as reports, to provide global information about his activity.

Team work

To explain, motivate and persuade his employees of the benefits of a Quality policy, the quality manager works with different players: auditors who carry out surveys and reports, operators responsible for enforcing quality actions, animators-consultants who provide a consulting role.
