Logistics Manager, the « Just in Time » professional

From customs procedures to international transport regulations, the logistics manager controls all stages of a product's delivery. Saving time and reducing costs for Schneider Electric, guaranteeing reliability for the customer... there is no end to the challenges.

His mission: managing flows, from production to the customer

• The logistics manager optimises buying procedures, stock management and product distribution. He therefore has a complete knowledge of international regulations, in addition to the practices of the country in which he is operating. The final objective is "Just In Time": gain time, reduce costs and respect the deadlines required by the customer. A quality of service that is decisive for Schneider Electric's professional brand image.

• To carry out his field and logistics watch missions, the logistics manager manages a team composed of varying profiles: international trade expert, invoicing operator, transporter, distribution manager.

An essential quality: the art of negotiation

Working in "Lean Production", the logistics manager anticipates all unforeseen events and manages people. He acts as a mediator and an interface between all internal and external partners.

Completely autonomous

If he proves that he is efficient, the Schneider Electric logistics manager can benefit from a considerable margin of manoeuvre allowing him to operate with complete autonomy. He is responsible only to the Managing Director.

Career prospects

Generally, after 5 years experience, the logistics manager can obtain a position as the director of a logistics platform, a position requiring highly-developed team management skills.

Professional experience 
• Knowledge of international transport fiscal and legal procedures is indispensable
• Advisable: experience in managing teams of different compositions (sales forces, logistics experts, industrial experts, buyers...)
