On 21 December 2011, the ETHIC Intelligence International Certification Committee awarded a Specific AC Certificate to Schneider Electric Egypt for its contract with the National Electricity Company (Sudan) signed on 21 March 2011. This Certificate confirms that the integrity mechanism designed by Schneider Electric to prevent corruption during the negotiation and execution of said contract is properly implemented and in a way which meets international good practices. The Certificate has been attributed for a period of two years and will expire on 20 December 2013. Schneider Electric Egypt had already been awarded an ETHIC Intelligence Specific AC Certificate on 23 November 2009 and 19 December 2007 for a previous, separate contracts signed with the National Electricity Company in Sudan on 15 June 2008 and 17 May 2007.
