Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure™ ArcFM Designer (formerly known Designer) is a robust design, workflow, and asset management tool, created specifically to meet the needs of medium to large electric distribution utilities. It streamlines the entire design, estimating, construction, and as-built workflow process. In doing so, it supports all of your viewing and analysis needs and completely eliminates the need to manage multiple data models. Because EcoStruxure™ ArcFM Designer is a fully integrated extension of the popular ArcFM platform and operates on the same GIS data model, it reduces your cost of ownership and allows you to integrate design and planning work with other important GIS-driven applications like OMS and DMS.

      Benefits

Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure™ ArcFM Designer offers many key benefits such as:

      • Reduces cost
      • Eliminates duplication
      • Improves efficiency

      Applications

URD Optimization allows the user to interactively design using optimization and automation tools. It takes into consideration site conditions, design parameters, and exclusion zones and supports parcel aggregation and transformer, conductor, and service- optimal sizing and placement. This functionality not only ensures optimal design but also helps reduce costs and avoids excess material use.

      • Structural analysis includes conductor clearance, ruling span, transverse pole strength, pin and insulator, soil and anchor, bisector, and dead-end guying analysis.
      • Secondary (low voltage) circuit analysis will determine if voltage drop, flicker, motor starting, or transformer loading rules have been violated.
      • Compatible unit (CU) management tools support individual projects involving one or many CU’s, enabling quick and easy search and placement of CUs into the design. You can group your construction favorites for quick retrieval of the most common CU’s and place CU’s into templates that define common construction standards requiring multiple work locations, such as an overhead extension.
