What are the various models of Lexium SD326 and what is the difference between each?

There are four possible version of Lexium SD326 and each type is listed below with the basic differences explained.

SD326DU25S2 = 2.5 amp drive without rotation monitoring (for use with motors that do not have built-in encoder and are rated for up to 2.5 amps)

SD326RU25S2 = 2.5 amp drive with rotation monitoring ( for use with motor that have built-in encoder and are rated for for up to 2.5 amps)

SD326DU68S2 = 6.8 amp drive without rotation monitoring (for use with motors that do not have built-in encoder and are rated up to 6.8 amp)

SD326RU68S2 = 6.8 amp drive with rotation monitoring (for use with motors that have built-in encoder and are rated up to 6.8 amp)  


Rotation monitoring requires an encoder feedback cable from the motor to the drive.
Note that rotation monitoring does NOT correct for positioning errors.
It is only used to provide a means in which to alert if the motor actual position has deviated from the expected position.
Rotation monitoring creates a drive fault when the motor is out of position which causes motion to stop and sets an output on the drive which can be used to trigger an alarm if the event has occurred.
