Imported Asi module bus and slot number are not identical to the defined value in the PL7 configuration

Goals and Symptoms
Imported Asi module bus and slot number are not identical to the defined value in the PL7 configuration

Facts and Change
Untiy

Causes and Fixes
The reason for the issue is because the PL7 software managed the Asi bus number by automatically assigning a bus number.  PL7 did not allow the user to change the bus number.  Unity manages the Asi bus number by using a default vale and allows the user to change it.  When a Unity application is created and an Asi module is added to the rack, a default value is assigned for the bus number.  The user must change the default value to what is required.  When the PL7 application is imported, Unity assigns a default value to the bus number.  If the user needs to match the bus number to that defined in the PL7 application, they must edit the values.   The topological address take in account the number of the Bus and not the number of the rack slot number.

To access the bus number:
  • Right click on the bus number.
  • Select properties.

  • Change the bus number.
  • Click on OK.
