How does Lexium 32 monitor motor temperature ?

Motor temperature is read via the encoder data channel.
The feedback system (sincos hyperface) measures the actual temperature within the motor and provides the drive with this value every second.
The drive calculates the temperature difference to the winding (M_t_current,Mb 7202).
This is true for all BMH and BSH motors.

The BSH motors do have a ptc type temperature sensor in the winding for older drives, such as Lexium 05, but is not used with Lexium32.
The BMH motors do not have a temperature sensor in the winding.
