Auto logging on an non-ION device with Data recording when the device goes offline

Issue
Reports can have data gaps or zeros fill data holes when a device is offline.

Product Line
PME

Environment
PME .ion files
translator files

Cause
Someone might want the last cached value to fill the gap instead of gaps or zero values.
The Data Recorder module’s Insert Outage Records setup register lets you determine how the meter handles logged information after a power outage. Once power has been restored, the meter can determine how many logged intervals have been missed due to the power outage, and based on this programming option, can either leave the logs missing (this is the default functionality) or can fill in the missing logs with zero values or last cached value.
The Insert Outage Records function helps ensure that customer's software applications that cannot handle missing information receive data logs for the entire time span, regardless of outages.

Resolution
*Warning: Take backups of any files prior to modifying them. Ensure the backups are in a location that will not be overwritten (i.e. the Desktop).

- Open the device's .ion driver file. These files are often located in the [PME Install]\config\translators or [PME Install]\config\templates

- Edit the .ion file using a text editor such as notepad.
- Change the Staleness Action default values N/A (which gives Zeros) to Log Last-Known-Value
