Ask a Question

Why do I have to write the parameter file two times to Lexium 05 drives in order for all the parameters to be accepted?

The process of writing the parameters to the drive may be required two times if the parameter assignment does not match what the firmware expects.

For example, if the device is CAN bus controlled the digital inputs are expected to be assigned a certain way as based on the firmware.
If the actual settings of the IO assignment do not match the expected settings then transferring of the parameters will be required two times.
Once to write the main mode of operation and then a second time to reassign the IO functionality if they differ from the factory settings based on the firmware assignment

In summary, writing the parameters to the drive may need to be done two times to insure that ALL parameters are written to the drive.
