'Failed to download cab file' when trying to access PLScada web client

Issue
The user gets 'failed to download cab file' message when trying to access the web deployment.
In this case the user is the local administrator and belongs to Administrators group.

Environment
x64 bit operating system (Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7)

Cause
Even though the user belongs to Administrators group, they do not have sufficient permissions to download the cab file.

Resolution
In UAC (user account control), one suggestion is to lower the setting to the lowest level in order to allow the download/install of software and active X controls.

          

UAC can be accessed from Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control Settings.
