Power Monitoring Expert: How to modify the time sync interval for Powerlogic devices?

Issue:
A user would like to disable or change the time sync interval on a Powerlogic device, but there are no time sync options in Management Console.

Product Line:
ION Enterprise 5.6, 6.0
StruxureWare Power Monitoring 7.0.x
Power Monitoring Expert 7.2.x

Environment:
Management Console

Cause:
In Power Monitoring Expert, the time synchronization for Powerlogic devices is handled through the translator files and configuration is not accessible in Management Console as it is for ION meters.

Resolution:
*Warning: Take backups of any files prior to modifying them. Ensure the backups are in a location that will not be overwritten (i.e. the Desktop).

Although the time sync configuration is not accessible in Management Console, it is still possible to modify or disable the time sync by adding/modifying the command, TimeSyncInterval="X" in the translator file.

1) Navigate to the \Power Monitoring Expert\system\translators folder.
2) Using Notepad, open the .xml file for the device type in question. (i.e. for a CM4000 device, open the cm4000.xml file)
3) In the DeviceInfo section of the file, add TimeSyncInterval="X".

TimeSyncInterval="X"/>

4) Replace the value X with the desired time sync interval (in seconds). Setting the interval to a value of zero (0) will disable the time sync all together for all devices of that type.
5) Save the file and close out of Notepad.
6) Restart the ION Site Server service for the changes to take affect.

Note 1: If TimeSyncInterval is not present in the translator file,  by default the translator time sync's the meter every 60 minutes.

Note 2: Some device types already include the TimeSyncInterval in the DeviceInfo. For these devices, simply modify the existing value to change the time sync interval.

Note 3: For SEPAM Protective Relays, the Advanced Properties section in Management Console does allow for the following parameters to be configured:
1. Timesync Enabled
2. Timesync with DST
3. Sepam Data Zone
However, the actual time sync interval will still need to be specified in the .xml file as shown above.

Note 4: Translated devices are time synced to server local time without the DST adjustment. ION devices are time synced to UTC since they are timezone aware.
