Unity Pro V8.0 : Loss of customer eds in the Hardware catalog Manager following UnityPro_V80_HF_DTM Hotfix installation.

The installation of UnityPro_V80_HF_DTM Hotfix available : On schneider-electric.com, shopping kiosk and Schneider Electric Software Update before 3 August 2014 will cause the loss of customer eds in the Hardware catalog Manager of Unity pro.

UnityPro_V80_HF_DTM has been updated (on schneider-electric.com, shopping kiosk and Schneider Electric Software Update SESU) August 4th 2014.  Installation of UnityPro_V80_HF_DTM Hot fix delivered since August 4th 2014 cause no more problem.

How to recover the customer eds in the hardware catalog Manager :
Note : you could not re-install the right UnityPro_V80_HF_DTM, and it is not needed to do it,  it will not recover the lost eds. The content of the first HotFix is good, it is only during the installation that the problem could occurs in case of customer eds present in the Hardware catalog.

1° before re-importing customer eds, you have to suppress (or more secure rename them in .old) all the corresponding customer  eds files in the following directory :
- For windows 7
C:\ProgramData\Schneider Electric\ConfCatalog\Database
-CKEY_name_of_the_customer_eds_file.XDS

- For windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Schneider Electric\ConfCatalog\Database\catacore.fbr
-CKEY_name_of_the_customer_eds_file.XDS

2° you have following possibilities to recover the eds in the catalog :
- Import a cpx  containing the customer eds
- Open STA of the application using these customer eds, it will regenerate the eds in the catalog
- Upload the application using these customer eds, it will regenerate the eds in the catalog
