Ask a Question

What is the function of the inhibit input (INHP) of Lexium 23?

Assigning digital input 8 for the function of INHP (Pulse inhibit) is used to force the pulse input of the Lexium 23 to be ignored.
This means any pulses present on the pulse input while the INHP input is active will be ignored and no motion will take place.
This input can be very useful for preventing "Ghost" movement which may occur if electrical noise is induced into the pulse input causing movement when the drive is expected to be at a stanstill.
If the INHP input is active any electric noise or pulses seen on the pulse input will be ignored and the motor will remain stationary.
