Event Notification Module (ENM) 7.x, 8.x

Resolution
Active Pager Module (APM) or Event Notification Module (ENM) allows SMS text messaging functionality. All major US and Canada cellular carriers will accept emails addressed to cell phone numbers, convert the email to an SMS text message, and forward it to the specific wireless number. SMS text messaging is limited to 160 characters.

Use the EMAIL option in the Delivery Relays and follow the specific format of 10DigitNumber@cell.carrier_domain.com to send the pages to a cell phone. The following chart lists the domains for each of the major carriers.

For example, if your cell number is 555.666.4455 and you have sprint service, you would choose Email as the Delivery Relay and enter the following in the "To" Section:
5556664455@messaging.sprintpcs.com

Note: The user would still use their existing SMTP server information for sending email messages as text messages.
