Goals and Symptoms
Do not get the logon screen for WEB3000 after applying System Manager Software (SMS) service update 22.214.171.124 and service pack. It was working fine with SMS3000 version 126.96.36.199, but never got the login screen after installing service update 188.8.131.52 and service pack 184.108.40.206.
Causes and Fixes
One resolution is to reinstall the latest version of Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC version 2.8 SP1 was the version installed at the time of this resolution).
