Log Inserter Creates Downstream Name With Redundant Host Segment

Goals and Symptoms

Summary

  • In ION Enterprise 5.5, Log Inserter creates downstream sources with a redundant host segment (e.g., MyDevice:MyDevice:VIP).

    Symptoms

When a VIP pre-processes register data from an external source prior to capturing it in a Recorder, the Log Inserter generates a source name with a redundant host segment (e.g., MyDevice:MyDevice:VIP when it should be MyDevice:VIP).
