Goals and Symptoms
VIP Sliding Window Demand
The SWinDemand output register of the VIP Sliding Window Demand module is incorrect. Instead of averaging the samples over the sub interval, the output value simply reflects the input value at the time the sub interval expires and the output is updated. This can be most clearly seen if only a single sub interval is used.
This problem has existed ever since the VIP Sliding Window Demand module was introduced for Pegasys 2.1.
Facts and Changes
There is no workaround for this problem.
Causes and Fixes
This issue will be resolved for ION Enterprise 5.5 Service Pack 1.
