Some systems with extensive computer based programming to aggregate separate meter data will require multiple VIP nodes for proper operation.
This document outlines how to create these additional VIP nodes.

All ION Enterprise and Struxureware Power Monitoring Expert systems.
For proper performance each VIP should contain both a .cfg and .bak file. These files should max at approximately 2 Mb. Once this file size is reached, for the integrity of the system, it is recommended to create a new VIP for further PC based programming.
Create a new ION Virtual Processor Service (VIP) and start it using the following steps:
1.) Open a command prompt window.
2.) Navigate to ...\Power Monitoring Expert \System\bin *
3.) Register the Virtual Processor as a service by typing
vip.exe -Service -N<custom VIP name>
4.) Open Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services and start the new registered VIP
