Goals and Symptoms

Issue
When running a Event History Report in IONE 6, the results are not sorted properly, and they may show up similar to the report below.

Facts and Changes

Environment

ION Enterprise 6.0

Causes and Fixes

Cause

The data in the database does not always get entered in the same timestamp order as the meter data.

Resolution

There is no stored procedure for the sorting of the Event History Report. Below is a sql script that will update the stored procedure to organize the report by timestamp.

Note: It is best practice to take a backup of the ION databases before running a SQL query which will modify them.

spDAL_GetAlarms_with_sorting.sqlspDAL_GetAlarms_with_sorting.sql

This needs to be run on the database machine. If Management Console is installed, double-clicking the file will automatically open it. Alternately, a new query can be run in SQL Management Studio and the contents of the .sql file can be copied into the query window.

After executing the sql script the report should look more like the pictures below.
