Ask a Question

Is it possible to use the current sensor strip from one Branch Circuit Power Meter (BCPM) model (A/B/C) to another?

It is possible to interchange the CT strips, but the user will encounter the following issues:
1. Accuracy of the BCPM will drop to approximately 5% of reading.
2. The error LED will illuminate on the BCPM Circuit Board. The serial numbers of the circuit board and sensor strips are encoded together. If the BCPM senses that the serial numbers do not match, the error LED will illuminate.

It is recommended to use the current sensor strips that came with the unit and are therefore calibrated together.
