How to delete events from the Live Monitoring page in Sequence Of Events Recorder (SER), Active Pager Module (APM) or Event Notification Module (ENM)

Issue
Unwanted events need to be cleared from the Live Monitoring page in SER, APM or ENM.

Product Line
Sequence of Events Recorder (SER) 7.x
Sequence of Events Recorder (SER) 8.0
Active Pager Module (APM) 6.x
Event Notification Module (ENM) 8.x

Environment
SER, ENM, or APM Live Monitoring

Cause
Events are time stamped based on the device date/time. If this is incorrectly configured there may be events that need to be removed to avoid confusion.
For example, if a Circuit Monitor's date was set to a time in the future, the events would show up on the top of the Live Monitoring page because they would be interpreted as the most recent events.

The user may have created test events that need to be cleared.

Resolution
Events must be manually removed from the database. Take note of the Event ID on the Live Monitoring page.

*Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. This procedure should only be performed by users familiar with SQL Server Management Studio. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.*

Manually deleting entries:

1. In SQL Management Studio, connected to the appropriate instance.
2. Expand the database PLES_AEHistory.
3. Locate the table 'LG_OPC_Alarm_Event'.
4. Locate the row that corresponds to the Event ID you want to delete and remove that row.

Automatically deleting entries greater than the present date:

1. In SQL Management Studio, connected to the appropriate instance.
2. Click on the "New Query" button
3. Enter and run the following query for APM 6.x Versions:

USE PLES_AEHistory
SELECT EVENT_ID, SERVER_ID, EVENT_TYPE, CATEGORY_ID, EVENT_SOURCE, CONDITION_NAME, SUBCONDITION_NAME, MESSAGE, SEVERITY, QUALITY, EVENT_TIMESTAMP, EVENT_ACTIVE_TIME, ACK_REQUIRED, ACTOR_ID, COOKIE, EVENT_ACTIVE_TIME AS Expr1
FROM LG_OPC_ALARM_EVENT
WHERE (dbo.UTCTicksToLocalTime(EVENT_ACTIVE_TIME) > GETDATE())
DELETE FROM LG_OPC_ALARM_EVENT
WHERE (dbo.UTCTicksToLocalTime(EVENT_ACTIVE_TIME) > GETDATE())

For ENM8.x or higher run this query:

   USE PLES_AEHistory
SELECT EVENT_ID, SERVER_ID, EVENT_TYPE, CATEGORY_ID, EVENT_SOURCE, CONDITION_NAME, SUBCONDITION_NAME, MESSAGE, SEVERITY, QUALITY, EVENT_TIMESTAMP, EVENT_ACTIVE_TIME, ACK_REQUIRED, ACTOR_ID, COOKIE, EVENT_ACTIVE_TIME AS Expr1
FROM LG_OPC_ALARM_EVENT
WHERE (EVENT_ACTIVE_TIME) > GETDATE()
DELETE FROM LG_OPC_ALARM_EVENT
WHERE (EVENT_ACTIVE_TIME) > GETDATE()
