Ask a Question

How can I program Engineering Notation into the Analog Output scale register? (i.e. 187k6)

187k6 is Engineering Notation. To program this value in the meter requires the value 187,600 to be placed in the correct register (In this case Analog Out #3, Zero Scale register).
The k symbolizes kilo in this example, and represents the following true engineering notation:

187k6

187.6 x 103

187,000

All Equivalent values.

Another symbol that maybe useful is M (or Mega) indicating power of 6, or times by 1 million (X x 106)
