Goals and Symptoms
The purpose of this Resolution is to inform users of Advantys Configuration software versions less than or equal to 188.8.131.52 of an issue when logging into an STBNIP2212 via Ethernet.
Facts and Changes
When assigning an IP to log into an STB NIM using Advantys Configuration software, the software will fail to connect to the specified NIM if the address is entered using preceeding zeroes in any octet for specific IP addresses (if the lowest octet digit ends in 1 through 7).
Causes and Fixes
The issue is fixed in Advantys Configuration software version 4.5 and higher.
For versions 184.108.40.206 and lower, the workaround consists of entering the IP address without using preceeding zeros in any octet.
