How to setup Vista for allowing all users to run 'ProWORX 32'.

Causes and Fixes

If the user tries to run 'ProWORX 32' inVista, nothing will happen. The reason this happens
is because 'ProWORX 32' was installed under an administrator environment and it requires
administrative access.

Note: Under certain conditions, it would be much easier to just allow the user full control to the folder
by using the settings as shown below. However, this will only work in Windows XP. Vista will
still require the user to enter admionistrator password.

The following steps can be used to to set the security permissions so that all users will be able to run
'ProWORX 32' without needing to enter an administrator password.

  • Right click on the folder that 'ProWORX 32' is installed under and select 'Properties'
  • Click on the 'Security' tab.
  • Click on 'Advanced'.

  • Click on the 'Permissions' tab.
  • Click on 'Edit'.

  • Click on 'Users' from the 'Permissions entries' list to highlight it.
  • Ensure that 'Include inheritable permissions from this parent's object' is checked off. If it is not, click on the checkbox to select it.
  • Click on 'Replace all existing inheritable permissions on all descendants with inheritable permissions from this object.
  • Click on Apply.

  • Click on 'Yes' for the 'Windows Security' pop up message.

  • Click OK to close the 'Advanced Security Settings ... ' window.
  • Click OK to close the 'ProWORX Properties' window.
