Unity Pro V4.0 S and M: Failure to build new catalogs when using the Hardware Catalog Manager

Goals and Symptoms

When trying to build a new catalog, after adding a new device in the Hardware Catalog Manager under the Small and Medium packages of Unity Pro V4.0, an error occurs and the user gets this message: ‘system cannot find the path specified’.

Causes and Fixes

There is an issue with the installation of the S & M versions of Unity Pro V4.0; 2 directories are missing.
After installation, you will need to create 2 empty folders in the following path:
...\All Users\Application Data\Schneider Electric\ConfCatalog\UserCatalog\

The folders should be named as follows:


Depending on the installation, the path may vary. You can find it, however, in the registry base as shown in this image:

Once you create those two folders, you will be able to build the catalogs with no errors.

This issue is adressed in a Hotfix.
