'The object invoked has disconnected from it's clients ' gets returned when an attempt is made to create new workspace.



The error could be caused by the following 'Active-X' components not being properly registered or not
running properly.

formx.ocx (file version 2.0.40.1, product version 2.04.001)
otxmenu.dll (file version 2.0.40.1, product version 2.04.001)
otxpersist.dll (file version 2.0.40.1, product version 2.04.001)
otxrt.dl (file version 2.0.40.1, product version 2.04.001)
otxrtvb6.dl (file version 1.22.0.25, product version 2.02.001)
otxwb.dll (file version 2.0.40.1, product version 2.04.001)

To resolve the problem,

  • Try to re-registering these components using the command 'regsvr32.exe <dllname>'.
i.e.,




  • Check to see if there is some type of firewall blocking the components from running.
  • Check to see if there is some type of anti-virus software configured to block the components
  • Check to see if there is some type of anti-spyware software configured to block the components.
  • Check to see if there is some type of 'Active-X' blocker configured to block the components.
  • Perform a search of the files to see if there are multiple copies of them installed on the PC.
If you find multiple copies with different version numbers in the c:\Windows\system32 folder, try moving
them to a temporary location and then try running the software again.
  • Try uninstalling Advantys Configuration Software, clean out the registry and re-installing the
software (reference resolution number 190727 titled 'How To Completely remove the 'Advantys
Configuration Software' from the PC'.
