Facts and Changes
The following changes are made in the V1.8 version of the 174CEV30010 Exec:
Improved Support for the TCP connection management
All Schneider 174CEV30010 units can be upgraded to V1.8
Causes and Fixes
New firmware can be loaded into the 174CEV30010 bridge using a TFTP client.
Please note that TFTP is not as reliable as FTP and several attempts may be required to successfully load new firmware into the bridge.
The steps required are :
Obtain a TFTP client program.
These are available from many sources, for example Walusoft offers a TFTP see, http://www.walusoft.co.uk/download.htm
Extract the supplied ROM file to your PC.
Start the TFTP transfer utility and transfer the ROM file to the 174CEV30010.
If upgrading an pre V1.6 bridge the destination file name is 4D. or ZD
Once V1.6 is installed the destination file name will be CV.
Example Upgrade using Walusoft TFTP Client:
Check that the new Firmware is installed:
Connect to the bridge setup screens, the introduction screen should now show V1.8
