Goals and Symptoms

We used a ATV38HC10N4X and a VW3A58301 communication card. After making the motor measurement everything works fine. If we switch off the power, the ATV loses all his parameters and he of course goes on error (because parameters do not fit, he needs a too high current). The weird thing is this happens 2 times out of 3. In the other cases he can remember the stored parameters. This random behaviour is not reproducable, next time it is 3 times out of 5. In the Premium we used the FSD C8P profile which you find under the standard STD_P library. We also tried to couple the "CMI" "Outputword number 2, Bit 2" to activate the stored paramters in EEPROM after switching on again the ATV38. It did not change the behaviour. It is still kind of random behaviour. On the whole there are 2 ATV 38 (both with same behaviour) and 5 ATV58 which we managed to work properly.

Causes and Fixes

With ATV38 and Fipio it's necessary to check box "Local settings" because there is some problems if you transmit the configuration parameters. If you need more data, you can use the VW3A58311 card with ATV58F PKW profile to use the messaging capacities.
