Advantys ETB: new IP67-rated I/O modules for harsh environments

 

The Advantys range of distributed I/O has recently been expanded to include 2 new IP67-rated Ethernet I/O modules for use with Modbus TCP/IP or EtherNet/IP.  The new modules are called Advantys ETB, for Ethernet Terminal Block.

These new modules combine the functionality of block I/O with an embedded 2-port Ethernet switch and are used in applications where I/O is mounted directly on equipment, without requiring an enclosure.

Applications

• Machining : for applications exposed to coolant spray or I/O that is mounted directly on the machine
•  Assembly : for I/O that is mounted on a robotic arm or directly on assembly equipment
• Material Handling : for applications exposed to dust or water/oil spray, and for areas with no space for a protective enclosure
• Other : any outdoor applications exposed to moisture or dust
