PYCAS (2011 – 2012)

The 2-year PYCAS (Hydrogen Cells and Automatic System Control) project aimed to develop an integral control system for managing the production and storage components of hydrogen-based technologies. This included developing a high-performance, contactless temperature sensor:
- To withstand the volatile conditions of hydrogen-based environments.
- That utilized infrared technology for measurement and wireless communications.

Co-financed by the Consejería de Economía, Innovación y Ciencia of the Junta de Andalucía, and Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía (CTA) (IDEA 8852944 / CTA 811/522 ), the project had a budget of €588K.

Partners: Telvent Energía, Abengoa Hidrogeno, Mesurex, and University of Seville.
